Ochugenki.
how can we educate younger generations about fading cultural practices?
Cultural Crafts
Ochugenki started as a project to assist in re-engaging the cultural practices of Japan for their younger generation. We stumbled upon a more global solution, to educate those about these cultural practices with a simple crafting kit!

Our Process
We worked with multi-disciplinary experts across Japan for this project, and learnt a lot about a variety of different craft practices, from Omamori Charms, Ikebana (flower arranging), Shibori Dyeing, Sumi-e painting and others.
